April Is National Car Care Month

That's right. April is National Car Care Month and what better time to get your car in shape for the summer. Make sure your car is following its recommended maintenance schedule.

Maintenance Minder

Let's talk tires.

Did you know...

  • Under inflated tires can increase fuel consumption by 3%.
  • As tires get older they lose their moisture and begin to crack. This is often referred to as weather cracking. These cracks can lead to sudden blowouts on the highway. Check your tires if they are older than 4 years for any cracks.

Tire Tips

  • Check your tire pressure at least once a month and don't forget about the spare. Check it today before you forget.
  • Inspect your tires every week. Look for glass, rocks, nails or other objects imbedded into the rubber. Finding something early can save you money and prevent sudden tire failure.
  • Have your tires balanced if you notice any unusual vibrating or shaking through the steering wheel or seat.
  • Have your tires rotated every 6000 miles (10,000kms). This will wear each tire equally. Include your spare tire in the rotation.
